To eat a healthier diet, you need to combine nutritional science, a jolt of common sense, and pure enjoyment. Most of us know that fresh salad, berries, nuts, and oilseeds are healthy but when to eat or how to eat them is much more important.

Everyone is aware of eating healthy food but what is the right time to eat is what very few know. Eating the food at the right time is important.

Breakfast and Dinner

Many of us don’t know what time to eat breakfast and dinner. Some people ask us to eat dinner before 7 pm, some say skip breakfast or skip dinner. But when any of these meals are skipped, your body metabolism goes down.

Breakfast has to be taken within 1 hour of waking up as your metabolism goes higher when you take breakfast. Breakfast should consist of good proteins, high fiber carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals.

Every meal should have a gap of 2 to 3 hours. If there is more gap between the meals, metabolism will go down and the tendency to eat more will increase.

Dinner is not necessarily to be taken before 7 pm but your bedtime and dinner should have a gap of 1 hour so that food can be digested properly for metabolism to be maintained.

Fruits and Vegetables

There should be 4 to 5 servings of vegetables every day. Fruits should not be taken on an empty stomach but should be eaten in a snack time either midmorning or evening. Eating fruits for breakfast or in an empty stomach can reduce the metabolism and make the blood sugar levels to go high. Fruits should not be taken with any meal as it can increase the blood sugar levels.
